For ten consecutive years, Artes de México in Utah has organized the annual Sor Juana Award for Poetry and Prose in Spanish, the only one of its kind in the state of Utah. The inspiration of the participants is deeply reflected on the thirst for social justice, their identity, nature, their memories, emotions, culture, and history, as well as reflections on life and death. This contest provides a great opportunity for those who write and are inspired by the Spanish language, the second most spoken language in Utah.
