We are excited to announce that Renée Mackin and Emily Cox will be performing on the Festival Stage on Saturday, June 20. The top vote getters included Wasatch Valley Drifters, but the Wasatch Valley Drifters are representing Utah’s musical talent at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival’s Band Contest (way to go, friends!).

Renée has been attending the Ogden Music Festival annually for most of its 18 year history. She is a songwriter, a storyteller, and has been a fixture of campground jams at the festival. She released a full length album, The Bluest Bird, in 2025. Renee is the lead and founding member of the Bottom Dwellers and side project, The Notch Sisters.

Known for its original songs, rich harmonies and honest and humorous lyrics, The Butch Cassidies is a women-fronted Americana band out of Moab, Utah. Their first time at the Ogden Music Festival, Emily Cox and Eric Jones represented the rest of The Butch Cassidies and Sundance Kids.
About the Partnership
The Utah Arts Festival is excited to announce a new partnership with Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music (aka OFOAM) who run the Ogden Music Festival, one of the premier acoustic music events in Utah. Since 2008, the Ogden Music Festival has hosted nationally renowned folk, bluegrass, and Americana singer-songwriters and musicians, including Mavis Staples, Sam Bush, Sarah Jarosz, Molly Tuttle, the Wood Brothers, Lake Street Dive, Sierra Ferrell, James McMurtry, and many more!
Notably, the Ogden Music Festival has provided opportunities to local and often young performers to share their music as “Tweeners” – as in, between the sets on the Main Stage. The Tweener showcase held this year, May 29-31, 2026, includes:

In partnership with the Utah Arts Festival, this year Ogden Music Festival fans will vote for their favorite Tweener performances, and the two top favorites will be invited to perform at the Utah Arts Festival on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 3:45pm and 4:45pm on the big Festival Stage ahead of the featured performances by Salt Lake Acting Company and Eldersister and headliner Shakey Graves
