SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 5/25/23
Join us for the 47th annual Utah Arts Festival, June 23-25. We invite our community to browse and buy art, catch a short film, get inspired by local poets, enjoy some tasty treats, and listen to great live music, all in one place. This year experiencing the vibes couldn’t be any easier with online ticketing, a new downloadable Festival app, and free UTA fare with every Festival ticket.
For those music lovers, this year the Festival offers a unique mix of headliners and featured artists, including, Adeem the Artist, Joslyn and the Sweet Compression, Los Mocochetes, Tony Holiday and the Soul Service, Karina Rykman, plus more to come. We also welcome back fan-favorite Lyrics Born, Ririe Woodbury Dance Company, and Repertory Dance Theatre. Musical styles range from Chicano Funk, Soul Blues, and Country, to Hip Hop, and so much more. For full schedules, visit [http://uaf.org/schedule].
The Festival will also have a number of family activities including the Kids’ Art Yard, with this year’s theme of Forest and Trees. Parents and kids can also watch short films, help paint a square for the interactive puzzle mural, take a writing workshop, and then take a break to have some kid-friendly food options.
The new mobile app can be downloaded from [http://uaf.org] or the Apple and Google app stores and will help our patrons plan out their perfect festival day. Festival-goers can access schedules, artist lists, food options, exclusive coupons, and even participate in a scavenger hunt to win prizes.
Tickets can be bought online at [http://uaf.org/tix] or at the gate. For the first time, the Utah Arts Festival is offering single-day VIP tickets that give access to the Hospitality Patio, which is a great place to take a break between perusing artists or seeing bands. With your VIP ticket you will enjoy complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as one ticket for a beer, glass of wine, or cocktail per adult ticketholder.
Thanks to our partnership with UTA, all tickets and passes will serve as free UTA fare to and from the 2023 Utah Arts Festival on just about all UTA modes of transportation. Ticket holders simply show their printed or digital tickets to the ticket collector upon boarding.
As is the case every year, the Utah Arts Festival relies on volunteers to help create the vibes. Without these thoughtful and helpful folks, there wouldn’t be a Festival. Volunteer applications are now being accepted for a variety of different positions that help make the Utah Arts Festival a success. Those interested in volunteering can apply at [http://uaf.org/volunteers]
The 47th Annual Utah Arts Festival at Library Square in Salt Lake City will include over 170 visual artists, seven performing venues featuring national and local musicians, dance performers, urban artists, and literary artists, film screenings, and delicious food from a variety of culinary artists. Kids can also roll up their sleeves and make their own craft projects in the Kids’ Art Yard.
