Saida Dahir is an 18-year-old Somali-American Muslim who came to the U.S. as a child refugee. Her activism and poetry are fueled by her own lived experience growing up as a minority in Salt Lake City, Utah. She uses her powerful words and emotions to connect with people from all different walks of life and is committed to changing the world. Some organizations she is involved in are Black Lives Matter Utah, March For Our Lives, Utah Environmental Solutions, and more. Saida strives to be the representative that she never saw growing up.
