- Friday, April 5: Signed contracts due back to Festival no later than 5:00 pm

The Show
The 48th annual Utah Arts Festival is scheduled for June 28 - 30, 2024 at Library Square in downtown Salt Lake City. The Utah Arts Festival is the largest, outdoor, multi-disciplined event held in Utah. Having garnered numerous awards internationally, nationally and locally, the Festival remains one of the premiere events that kicks off the summer in Utah each June. Patrons enjoy three days of award-winning fine arts in the Artist Marketplace, live performances on five stages, street theater, fine arts exhibition, a film program, children's art and culinary arts.
Selection Process
The Utah Arts Festival places an emphasis on review of recent, live performance and/or rehearsal video as part of the jury process. Please provide links to your most current and relevant live performance and/or rehearsal video links and streaming links to ensure we are able to understand and evaluate your work as an artist.
Artists will be selected by a peer jury composed of literary artists and critics.
Jury selections will be based upon materials submitted with the application and on past performances both in Utah and at the Utah Arts Festival. The jury will look for professionalism, originality, creativity, and suitability of materials for the Utah Arts Festival.
The Utah Arts Festival is working to ensure we balance tradition and innovation. The number of consecutive years an artist has participated in the Utah Arts Festival will be taken into consideration as part of the final selection process. The Utah Arts Festival reserves the right to “rest” an artist for one year after three consecutive years of participation.

Contracts
Accepted performing artists are required to sign a contract with the Utah Arts Festival Foundation, Inc., specifying, among other things, payments, requirements and liability. Accepted performers grant the Festival permission to use submitted materials for archival, publicity, and web site purposes before, during and after the Festival.
Payments
Single performers will perform 25 minutes or less and will receive $125
Groups of 6 performers or less will receive $125 for the coordinating performer and $75 per person after for a 50-minute performance.
Please note that payments to groups will be one lump sum made out to the group or a designated representative, and not individual checks to each performer. Pay is calculated by the number of performers in the group with a max of six and will be distributed based on the number of artists who actually participate at the Festival.
The Utah Arts Festival does not pay transportation or housing for local or regional artists unless other arrangements are made.
No on-site payments will be made. All payments will be made through ACH deposits or mailed by July 31, 2024.
